1SANJAY HARNE, 2BIJENDRA SINGH, 3GURBEER KAUR CHHABRA and 4MANJEET SINGH TEETH
Abstract :

Distinct positive Fibonacci sequences either eventually intersperse or else doubly intersperse. Necessary and sufficient
condition for the latter case is given and each pair of distinct Fibonacci sequences eventually intersperse or doubly intersperse .We discuss that each 3-tuple of distinct Fibonacci sequences eventually intersperse or doubly intersperse

The comparison of Heavy metal concentration in commercial marine fish collected from Red sea and Arabian Gulf in between 2009-2013, with reference to national and international standards
I. N. AL-SUWITI and K. A. HASAYEN
Abstract :

An assessment of marine contamination due to heavy metals was made in Arabian Gulf and Red sea based on marine fish during (2009) and (2013). The concentration of three heavy metals Zn, Cd, and Pb on top predator fish commonly consumed in the region were < 0.4 μg g-1 and posed no threat to public health. High Cd concentration (up to 140 μg g-1) was found in the liver in all collected fish.

Banach contraction principle on cone generalized metric space
1MANOJ GARG and 2SHIKHA AGARWAL
Abstract :

In this paper, we introduce the notion of cone generalized metric space and discuss some properties of convergence of sequences. Further we prove a fixed point theorem for contractive mapping in cone generalized metric space.

FT-IR, FT-Raman and computational study of 1,2-cyclohexanediol
R. RENJITH1, RAJEEV. T. ULAHANNAN1, J.B. BHAGYASREE1, HEMA TRESA VARGHESE2 and C. YOHANNAN PANICKER1
Abstract :

FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra of 1,2-cyclohexanediol were recorded and analyzed. The vibrational wavenumbers were computing at HF and DFT levels. The data obtained from theoretical calculations are used to assign vibrational bands obtained experimentally. The results indicate that DFT method is able to provide satisfactory results for predicting vibrational frequencies. The predicted infrared intensities and Raman activities are reported. The calculated first hyperpolarizability value shows that the title compound is suitable for nonlinear optical studies. The small differences between experimental and calculated vibrational modes are observed. This is due to the fact that experimental results belong to solid phase and theoretical calculations belong to gaseous phase.

Magnetohydrodynamic unsteady flow of a dusty conducting fluid through porous medium in a rectangular channel with time dependent pressure gradient
ANIL TRIPATHI*, A. K. SHARMA* and K.K. SINGH**
Abstract :

The unsteady flow of a dusty conducting viscous incompressible fluid through porous medium in a long rectangular channel under the influence of uniform magnetic field and a time dependent pressure gradient has been studied. The particular cases when the pressure gradient is (i) an absolute constant, (ii) periodic function of time, (iii) an exponentially decreasing function of time and (iv) Ct , have been discussed in detail.

MHD Boundary Layer Stagnation Point Flow and Heat Transfer of a Micropolar Fluid over a Flat Plate with Uniform Suction/Injection
1R.N. JAT and 2VISHAL SAXENA
Abstract :

An analysis is presented for the problem of heat transfer in a steady laminar stagnation point flow of an incompressible electrically conducting micropolar fluid impinging on a permeable flat plate with uniform suction/injection. A uniform magnetic field is applied normal to the plate. The effect of viscous dissipation is taken into account. The governing partial differential equations are transformed into ordinary differential equations. A numerical solution is obtained for the ordinary differential equations using the computational software Matlab. Results are shown in graphical form. The effect of the uniform suction or injection, magnetic parameter, material parameter on the flow and heat transfer are presented and discussed.

Grain size and texture of the sandstones occurring in and around Mawsinram, Meghalaya
P. BARTHAKUR1 and P. K. DAS2
Abstract :

The grain size analyses and textural studies have been made from four types of sandstones occurring in and around Mawsinram, Meghalaya. For this purpose, statistical parameters of the grain size distribution have been determined. The nature of cumulative and frequency curves shows mostly bimodality in nature. It indicates mixing of the sediments mostly under sand and silt modes. Moreover, it shows the variation in the kinetic energy of the depositing agents which reflect the diversity in the grain size of source materials and different modes of transportation of sediments.

The univariant plots of size parameters reflect the distance of provenance, fluctuation in the velocity of the depositing media and higher hydrodynamic energy conditions of the transporting medium.

The bivariant plots of the samples of sandstones indicate sedimentation processes took place both under river and marine conditions. Log probability plots show dominance of saltation followed by suspension and rolling. The C-M patterns of four types of sandstones show that the sediments were carried dominantly by graded suspension alongwith rolling. The sandstones are of sand and silty sand under textural classification.

Theoretical Evaluation some Properties (Grű neisen parameter, Second Grű neisen parameter, Anderson Grű neisen parameter) of Alkali Chalcogenide Crystals (Selenides and Tellurides) using two interaction potential energy functions (IPEFs)
BISWAJIT GHATAK
Abstract :

In the analysis of crystal binding based on the interionic force model, the contributing arising from coulomb interactions, the dipoledipole (d-d) and dipole-quadrupole (d-q) interactions and the short-range repulsive interactions of the Hellmann and Varshni-Shukla interaction potential model. The different crystalline properties such as Grűneisen parameter Anderson Grűneisen parameter using two different formula for each parameter and Second Grűneisen parameter are reported here for alkali chalcogenide crystals(Selenides and Tellurides) of NaCl-structure. The high pressure behaviour of these crystals has also been studied. The graphical natures of calculated values I.R. absorption frequencyreduced mass and calculated values Debye temperature-reduced mass are also shown. The results obtained here may add a little to the physics and chemistry of these crystals.

Synthesis and Spectral Characterization of Oxo- and di-Oxo-Transition Metal Chelates of 2-aminothiophenol and 2-aminophenol
R.N. PANDEY* and PRAMILA SHARMAa
Abstract :

Squarepyramidal chelates of VO++, oxo-bridged octahedral chelates of VO2+and octahedral cis-dioxo chelates of MoO2++and WO2++ are prepared using 2-aminothiphenol and 2-aminophenol as chelating agents. The possible structures are deducted in the light of results from elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, electrical conductivity measurements, IR, UV-vis, ‘H NMR and ESR Spectra. The persistent of ZrO++ group is lacking in octahedral bis-chelate of oxo-zirconium (iv).

Magnetohydrodynamic steady laminar generalized plane couette flow of viscous fluid through porous medium
GAURAV MISHRA, RAVINDRA KUMAR and K. K. SINGH
Abstract :

The aim of the present paper is to study the magnetohydrodynamic steady laminar generalized plane couette flow of viscous fluid through uniform porous medium between two parallel plates. The viscous fluid is conducting and uniform magnetic field is applied perpendicularly to the flow of fluid. The skin friction, average, maximum and minimum velocities of the fluid, the volumetric flow and energy losses in the channel are also determined.
